From Maryland or points south and Pittsburgh and points west

Take Rt. 30 (west from Breezewood exit 161, east from Bedford exit 146) to Rt. 26 north. You will begin to see lake recreation signage. Stay on Rt. 26 north forabout 30 minutes. You will come to the intersection for Rt. 994 east (this is the second yellow blinking light). Turn right at this blinking light. Follow Rt. 994 for about six miles and you will cross over the lake bridges. You will pass Lake Raystown Resort and Hemlock Hideaway will be the next campground on your right (go straight through the intersection for Trough Creek State Park).
